The signature curves of Kin & Company and waves of Norwegian designer Henrik Ødegaard blend together seamlessly in this collaboration from the two studios, created for the Sight Unseen project Norway x New York. The bold folded steel plates of the Step Chair combine with the minimal rolled bronze tube to form a composite object that is at once chair, table, stair, or storage. The black oxide patina and dark blue powder coat recall void of deep space and the midnight sky. The curved bronze handrail, shown in a brushed rose patina, encourages the user to walk alongside the object or rest for a moment as they pass by. The hollow blackened steel pipe provides a visual anchor, punching through the plate to create a void for storage or display.
Made to order in a variety of sizes, materials, and finishes.
